My work has developed from time spent in wild places throughout the western United States. During my travels, I have gained an intimate connection to the natural world and it has shaped my work dramatically. I plan to continue developing my vision as an artist by creating work that has a deeper connection to humanity by exploring the idea of a "post-modern" landscape and the synthesis between society and its changing role in the landscape. My goal is to build a conceptual body of work that challenges the audience by exploring the concept of man's encroachment on open space and defining borders between civilization and wilderness.
